DESCRIPTION
The construction project at Glenala State High School in Durack comprised three major components: the development of a new General Learning Centre, the expansion of the Performing Arts Centre, and the creation of a Trade Training Centre.
The Performing Arts Centre underwent a significant refurbishment, which included the installation of Autex Battens and Frontier Beams to enhance acoustics and aesthetic appeal, creating a professional and welcoming environment for performances and arts education.
The General Learning Centre was designed as a modern, three-story facility that houses a range of educational spaces, including classrooms, studios, staff workrooms, and student amenities. Future expansion was carefully considered, allowing for the growth and adaptation of the facility as needed.
The Trade Training Centre was built to support vocational education, featuring a fully-equipped engineering workshop, a dedicated training room, a staff office, and the Head Office for the Trade Department.
The entire project was carefully planned and executed to ensure minimal disruption to the school’s daily operations, prioritizing the safety and comfort of students and staff throughout the construction period.
